Hua (alias), the younger brother of a juvenile, Chi (alias), was beaten up by a thug, so Chi joined a gangster ring trying to get revenge. He buffed up and headed for a cybercafé downtown with 10-plus juvenile gangsters in the ring to seek out the thug, Chun (alias), who had beat up Hua. They dragged Chun to a park 200 meters away and injured him through beating. The gangsters were caught red handed by the police, and transferred to Taitung District Court for trial according to Article 277-1 of the Criminal Act for simple assault, Article 304-1 of the same Act for interference with personal freedom, and Article 3-2 of the Juvenile Accident Act for juvenile delinquency. As for the verdict given by the court, the gangsters were sent for custody and ordered to provide community service.
We urge that, instead of reacting through violence, seek proper and legal channels to resolve any disputes (e.g. school, police agency or social welfare organizations). NEVER try to resolve disputes by joining an illegal organization, such as a gangster ring, as it will put you in conflict with the law.
